Hastings Donnan is a senior Lecturer in Social Anthropology at The Queen’s University of Belfast. He is the author of Marriage among Muslims: Preference and Choice in Northern Pakistan and has recently compiled Pakistani Ethnography: A Register of Research for the Pakistan Studies Group. Pnina Werbner is a Research Associate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Manchester. She is the author of The Migration Process: Capital, Gifts and Offerings among British Pakistanis and co-editor of Black and Ethnic Leaderships in Britain: The Cultural Dimensions of Political Action.
